Beauty Haul

I may have done quite a bit of damage this month when it comes to beauty products. Fortunately I saved a lot of money with the amazing Illamasqua sale!

I ran out of my Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation before Christmas and thought I could survive with mac studio fix fluid but it really doesn't compare for everyday wear. I picked up a new bottle and used my Debenhams reward points to get £5 off it which helped out quite a bit!

Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation 12 Beige Rose - £36 Debenhams

I have been wanting to buy a Juicy Couture fragrance for quite a while and found this gift set was almost half the price of the bottle on its own in the Selfridges sale.

Juicy Couture EDT Gift Set - £23 Selfridges (unfortunately now sold out)

I obviously couldn't not order some mac lipstick when I was paying £5 for shipping so picked up two cremesheen lipsticks in creme cup and speed dial.

MAC lipsticks creme cup and speed dial - £14

I took a visit to my local mac counter with some slight hope that the sought after Stereo Rose Mineralize Skinfinish would be in stock and to my surprise they actually had about 7 left!

MAC Stereo Rose - £21.50 (sold out everywhere online)

Finally, my crazy Illamasqua sale purchases that came to an amazing total of £40!!

I picked up the eye brow cake in Peek as I've been getting into doing my eyebrows and thought for £5 it would be worth a try!

Illamasqua Eye Brow Cake in Peek - £5

I also got this gorgeous dark green nail varnish in Kink, I like trying out new nail colours and although green is my favourite colour I don't have any nail polish this colour.

Illamasqua Nail Varnish Kink - £5

This blending brush was only £10 and is big enough to sweep eyeshadow over your eye and will be brilliant for blending too.

This amazing pink intense lipgloss Indulge was also only £5 and is such a great colour and I thought it would be great for someone like me who's much more of a lipstick person as it is quite opaque.

Illamasqua Intense Lipgloss Indulge - £5

Finally, I picked up three lipsticks for £5 each. Although two of them are very similar looking reds, one is matte and the other isn't. The colours I picked out were Tramp, Submit and Sangers.

I was trying to stick to only buying three beauty products max a month but its obvious I've failed already haha! I also picked up some samples from the origins counter as I'm trying to find which cleanser works best with my Clarisonic. If I'm successful in finding the perfect cleanser I'll be sure to make a post.

OOTN: Hogmanay

Happy New Year!
Apologising again for my lack of posting in 2012, I am going to try my best to keep up with blogging in 2013.
Just thought I would start off the year with an outfit post of what I wore to a ceilidh on New Years Eve, or Hogmanay as we call it in Scotland.

I wore this beautiful red dress from asos for a bargain £10.50! and paired it with some dark grey suede wedges from Primark.
I wore my rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs watch with a chunky gold link chain from New Look and my earrings which can't be seen were gold and snake print triangle tiered by Freedom at Topshop.

Hope everyone had a great night and all the best for the New Year, hope 2013 is a good one!

Of The Moment: Five Favourite Lip Products

Yet again, I have failed with the regular posting on my blog and I apologize yet again! Uni is a bit hectic right now and two of three exams are next week!!

I thought I would do a quick post on my five favourite lip products of the moment, these are the lip products I have been wearing most often over the past few months, most of them are new products. One of them was limited edition but I am sure there are a few alternatives out there!

Rimmel London Kate Moss - 16, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine - 52 Fetiche, MAC - Angel, MAC - Full Fuchsia, Clarins Natural Lip Perfector - 01

As you can see, they are all variations of pink, the first a more coral, second a pale rosy pink with a lot of sheen, a very nude pink, a bright pink and a very pale pink gloss.

I hope you liked this little post and hopefully I will be able to post more often!

Wishlist 14.10.12

  • I have been looking for a pair of high waisted skinny jeans for months and have finally found a pair I love, only trouble is my size in Topshop jeans is hardly ever in stores so I am going to continue searching until I have to give in and order online haha
  • This jumper is perfect for the cold days going into uni, always seem to be freezing! The colour is also a really great mint which will bring a pop of colour to the dark outfits I seem to pick at 7.30am
  • Another weather related item! Wellies! The rain in Scotland is always terrible but I never noticed how horrible it was until I had a few run ins with heavy rain wearing ballerina pumps! These Hunter wellies are perfect, bit expensive though
  • My no make-up buying month is getting to me and I am really wanting this bronzer! I know it's a cult favourite and my new love of Nars drew me to it
  • Illamasqua finally brought out a 30ml version of Freak! I have been wanting this for a while but now the lower price (along with the 15 percent off code LIKE15) is making me want it even more

Special thanks to Milkteef for letting me know what to use to create wishlist images

Recent Purchases

Feel like every time I start getting back into blogging I always end up not posting for another month so I am now starting to put together a schedule to ensure I blog frequently.

I thought I would start with a post on some recent purchases that I made in the last month or so, some beauty and some fashion.

All beauty products I mention will have been purchased last month as I am on a make-up buying ban for October and possible November too depending on how well it goes this month haha.

I have been buying a lot more than normal since I've been in Glasgow almost every day for uni so I'm going to have to work out a way to stop myself from drifting into the shops and spending more money than I need to!

dress £14.99 - h&m  shirt £19 - Monki

dress £16 (sale and 20% student discount) - Miss Selfridge  lace top £9.99 - h&m

Studded Clutch £6 - Primark Black Wedges £40 (20% Student Discount night) - River Island Stars and Strip Jeffrey Campbell Litas £60 (half price sale) - Office

Metalic Dip Hem Top £24 - Miss Selfridge

Grey Vans £40.50 (student discount) - Schuh

I managed to find a lot of bargains and some key pieces that I'm sure you will see a lot more on the blog in outfit of the day posts, would advise anyone buying a pair of Vans to try them on first, I didn't and bought my usual size 6 and ended up having to take them back and purchase a size 4!! Lets hope this is the start of regular blogging for me!

You only turn eighteen once...

Sorry for the long break in posts, August was a very busy month for me but I am hoping that September will be a lot better for me and I will be able to post a lot more. Also I got into uni! So starting this week (eek, scary) I am officially a fashion student! So excited to be doing something I love and proud of myself for getting here after being told that I wouldn't get in so many times. Onto the real post now.

As you have probably guessed I turned eighteen! One of the many reasons for my month being so busy, although I wasn't meant to be having a very busy birthday it soon became busy.
I just want to say I have the best family and friends ever, they made my birthday perfect.
I had two birthday dinners, two birthday cinema trips, one birthday lunch and one surprise birthday party that was kept very top secret. Unfortunately I don't have many pictures of my birthday week as my little sister took them all on her phone which was stolen the following week but I have tried my best to gather any from other friends and family members.

I got some gorgeous presents from my family including my long lusted for rose gold Marc by Marc Jacobs watch and matching earrings!!

I also treated myself to a late birthday present on Friday on my trip to Edinburgh with my mother which  I had been wanting for the last four years...

Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene Speedy 35

I'll leave you with some pictures of my week
